To provide exposure to the students with hands on experience on various basic engineering practices in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
Electrical Engineering Practises is a basic subject offered to the undergraduate engineering students of electrical and non electrical streams. It gives the far knowledge about the various electrical gadgets used in day to day life and troubleshoots them. Also it provides various knowledge about electrical symbols, safety precautions, wirings, earthen etc.
The objective of the Electrical Circuits lab is to expose the students to the of electrical circuits and give them experimental skill. The purpose of lab experiment is to continue to build circuit construction skills using different circuit element. It also aims to introduce MATLAB a circuit simulation software tool. It enables the students to gain sufficient knowledge on the programming and simulation of Electrical circuits
Electronics Laboratory is well equipped with sophisticated equipment’s to perform experiments on Diode and transistor based electronic circuit designs. The available equipment’s in this lab are CRO’s, Function Generators, Power supplies, Analog ammeters and Analog Voltmeters. This lab also has various digital IC’s and equipment’s like latest model Digital IC trainer Kits for performing Digital Logic Design experiments and projects
This is our core set of laboratories, in terms of curriculum. Its overall needs are versatility and generality, in view of the many basic course needs it serves.This lab is general enough to hold a number of experiments suitable for giving students enough exposure to enable them to easily adopt experiments in more advanced laboratories in the department. This is the main lab where experiments like load test on various machines, speed control tests, open circuit tests, short circuit tests, etc are carried out. and also wide variety of practical experiments are performed here with combination of different rotating machines. The laboratory is also used for research activities in machines and to carry out project works on energy conversion.
Linear Integrated Circuits Laboratory guides the students in ways of understanding the context of analog and digital electronics. With the help of timer and amplifier experiments the importance of analog circuits can be realised. The adder, shift register and counters like digital experiments are devoted for the better understanding of digital electronics.
This laboratory is to impart the practical knowledge about various process control techniques used in modern process industries. This laboratory is equipped with process simulation kit with feed forward and cascade control schemes,electronic logic controllers,relay logic controllers,level and temperature control with PID controller, electronic transmitter ,recorders, DCS and PLC (programmable logic controller) trainer kit to carry out advanced experiments in process control engineering.
The power electronics lab enhances the EEE students by providing them the better understanding of the concepts and working of advanced power semiconductor devices.
This lab also provides the platform for the UG students to perform and check their minor project, multi-disciplinarydesign and major project.
This lab enables the PG students to make and test their project.
Lab is open for the Research Scholars to carry out their Research during the working hours of the Institution.
Intel 8086 Microprocessor : The lab is well furnished with all the necessary apparatus required for enhancing the learning process of microprocessors and microcontrollers. The trainer 8086 kit demonstrates with the capabilities of 8086 microprocessor.8086 board is based on Intel 8086 Microprocessor, which operates at 6.144 MHz using the crystal of 18.432. The board can operate using the 101/104 PC keyboard supplied along with the trainer kit and 2 Line by 16-character LCD display or from the PC. The kit is equipped with 8255 PPI IC, EEPROM and RAM memory, 8253 Programmable Timer IC and 8251 USART IC for serial communication. The learning of microprocessors are accompanied along with the learning of microcontrollers using the Intel Galileo Gen 2 board which are Arduino board providing students the facility to develop their own project. This platform provides the ease of Intel architecture development through support for the Microsoft Windows*, Mac OS*, and Linux* host operating systems. It also brings the simplicity of the Arduino integrated development environment (IDE) software.
