The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) became a part of the celebrated institution in the year 2010. The department, headed by professors who are experts in their own disciplines, aims at educating and training students with sound knowledge and awareness in the latest trends in electronics, communication and information technology. In a very short span of time since the Department was launched in our college, it has made a name for itself through seminars, symposia, workshops and conference and also through its performance in the examinations and placement.
The Department has highly qualified faculty members with various specialization relevant for the industry. The members of the faculty are holding the membership Annual/Lifetime from the following professional societies such as ISTE, IETE, IEEE, OSI and Institution of Engineers. Faculty members have published research papers in SCI, Web of Science and Scopus indexed Journals. The initiatives taken have already started yielding excellent results in terms of research funding and other research activities thus keeping us in the path of excellence.
The state of the art of laboratories are well equipped to harmonize the high standards set by the competitive syllabus and raise the tendency of the students towards research and development, besides giving them the necessary and sufficient support of practical knowledge that they need.
The students are confident to deliver seminars, publish papers in both National/ International conferences in latest topics, and have participated in national level competitions like Hackathon and project expo thus promoting technical and communication skills. For analytical courses, problems are solved during tutorial hours. Students are well used to flipped classrooms. Powerpoints and overhead LCD projectors are used effectively for classroom teaching. Students are taken on industrial visits on regular basis to meet the industry needs.
