Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE), deals with the engineering problems, opportunities and needs of electrical, electronics, computer, telecommunication systems and related industries. This branch provides students with a wide range of fundamental knowledge in core disciplines such as Electrical Machines, control systems, signal processing, radio frequency design, Semiconductor Devices, Micro-processors, micro-electronics and Power generation. The discipline focuses on design and manufacture of electrical, electronic devices, computers and their component parts, as well as on the integration of components into complex systems.


Electrical engineers design, develop, test, and supervise the manufacture of electrical equipment, such as electric motors, radar and navigation systems, communications systems, or power generation equipment. The department focusses on Electrical power system that deals with the generation, transmission, distribution, and utilization of electrical energy. Control systems engineering deals with the design and analysis of systems that control the behavior of dynamic systems. Due to high impact on sustainability, renewable energy systems have gained significant importance. This area focuses on the utilization of renewable energy sources such as solar, wind, hydro, and biomass. Power electronics deals with the study of electronic devices and circuits used for the control and conversion of electric power. Students learn about power electronic converters, motor drives, renewable energy interface systems, and power quality improvement techniques.

Career Prospects:

Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) graduates are exceptionally well-suited for careers in various fields due to their comprehensive knowledge of electrical systems, circuits, and electronics. Their knowledge can be applied in semiconductor Industry under categories of design Engineer, Process Engineer, Test Engineer, Quality Assurance Engineer, Application Engineer and Research-Development Engineer. They have the option to work either in Private or Public Sector. Their intensive knowledge can be applied in BHEL, Indian oil. Power Lattice Corporation, DRDO/Defense, BSNL as Telecom Engineer.
